Welcome to my blog! This is my first blog, though not necessarily my first post. I'm ma guest blogger at teenwordfactory.com as well as several of my Muse sister Lin Holmes' blogs. Okay, deep breath. I know I can do this. See, here's the thing: I was convinced that I didn't need a blog for some time. I mean, it's one more thing that demands my time, over and above everything else. By "Everything else" I mean maintaining a full-time (and sometimes more) job in corporate aviation, home duties including husband and father of four, assistant scoutmaster, assistant softball coach, praise team musician, and of course, writer. Now, recently I dumped off the softball coach and assistant scoutmaster roles, but the kids are still running track and playing ball, so I need to support them. Maybe the net gain is half a "job." That doesn't leave much time. But I think maybe you'd like to get to know me better as a person, not just the dude who sits at the computer and cranks out novels. Plus, I know I'd like to get to know you all a little more as well. So I need to organize my time if this is going to work. And the last thing I am as a person is organized. Just ask anyone who knows me. What I intend is that one day per week will be split between promo and blogging. We'll see how she rolls, eh? Yeah. This is a new thing for me. So jump on in, and we'll just kind of ride along.

  6. Good to see you, you busy, busy man. I need to update my blog as well. We just thought we were pressed for time before all this, didn't we? But hey, this is where we wanted to be, and it's great. I wouldn't change a thing.

  7. Bravo, Cy. Blogs. FB. Twitter. I must say the lengths to which you and other "serious" authors dedicate your time to promotion is truly remarkable. It kind of makes me wonder if all the NY Best Sellers, whose marketing is handled by the Big Six NYC brick-and-mortar houses, would be where they are today if they were responsible for the majority of their own promotion/marketing. Hmm.
Good luck with your "baby blog." Give away stuff and I'll for sure be back! =)
